Hello Baileyblog Readers,

Hope you are enjoying these summer days and that if you can, you will take some time off to enjoy this new season.

We took a brief hiatus but not a hiatus from the work we call care so much about –advancing freedom and equity locally and globally.

Much has taken place over the last couple of months as you will see in the following article in Yahoo News and video recap. Please click below for more.

On April 20, the work of 5 amazing artists was showcased at Binghamton University’s Downtown campus.  Each represented five visions of the indomitable Harriet Tubman whose likeness will grace our campus next year.  The Harriet Tubman Center was grateful that they participated in this call and look forward to a selection by the end of the first week of August.

We are thankful for all who have supported this effort.  If you want to know more, please join the mailing list of the Tubman Center and receive our monthly newsletter for updates.  We will, of course, continue to share updates here as well.
